90% of hardware was purchased on new egg over 1 year ago. You can probably
find similar products for even cheaper today. New egg is your best friend.

Old case I took out of garbage
Free

500w CompUSA power supply
$40 (Used a gift card)

MSI K8MM-V Socket 754 VIA K8M800 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
$42.99

AMD Sempron 64 2800+ Palermo 1.6GHz Socket 754 Processor Model SDA2800BXBOX
- Retail
$40.00

WINTEC AMPO 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Desktop Memory Model
3AMD1400-1GB1-R - Retail
(note I eventually took out 512 of the RAM because 512 DDR is all that is
needed)
$74.99

eVGA 128-A8-NV96-LX GeForce MX4000 128MB DDR AGP 4X/8X Low Profile Video
Card - Retail
$27.99

Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150 274 PCI Interface Personal video recorder - Retail
(Came with free remote that works perfectly for Linux)
$53.99 x 2 = 107.98

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS (Perpendicular Recording Technology)
320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM
$94.99

Total - 428.94

Sadly this is still too expensive. You better off using an original xbox
which you can now find for under $100.
