At an Install Fest, I installed Edgy on my Precision M90. Then we got
Beryl installed. After a little effort, we found that xorg.conf had set
my default bit depth to 16, and Beryl needed 24 in order to work
properly.
Fast forward to last week. I upgraded to Feisty. I used the update
manager. Simply click, it downloads updates, installs them, then asks
you to restart.
Well, it didn't work. Apparently a lot of people had troubles with
Feisty upgrades. I gave up figuring out what was wrong and reinstalled.
Everything is working fine again.
Well, sort of. I can't seem to get Beryl to work. When I tell
Beryl-Manager to switch my window manager to Beryl, it does, but
forgets to give my windows borders. Basically, my applications are
floating there with no way to grab them.

This is but one of the few tutorials/how-tos I found. I'm still looking
for a solution, but in the meantime, anyone else encounter this
problem?
