You know, I'm not exactly an authority on the subject, I've talked to
Jason a few times, but I'm not as involved in barcamp as I should be.

I do know their website is: http://barcampchicago.com/ I'm not sure
if they're affiliated with .... the national chapter? kinda funny
using those terms for barcamp.

Either ways, I went last year, and it was a ridiculous among of beer,
where most of the people that stayed for the entire duration were in a
hazy state somewhere between buzzed and drunk for 3 days. Lots of
random people just showed up, and anyone who wanted to do a
presentation, just added their name to the list.

Founder of wikipedia showed up last year out of the blue. They had a
geek/social/philosophy corner.

If you guys want, you should maybe hold a dlc tech talk there if you
want, you might get a bigger audience (or not, who knows).

Either ways, a good bit of UIC's lug/acm should be there, from the
sound of it, dlc might be involved, it should be lots of fun one way
or another.

Oh, I just noticed they had an install fest going on, I'll bring some
ubuntu/gentoo/whatever CDs... and probably end up helping out in that
department...
