Hey all,
I'm having quite a bit of trouble trying to get Firefox to connect through
the in-browser VPN client.
I can log-in and get to the browser SonicWall VPN page (the page that tells
you not to close your browser to maintain the VPN connection), but when I
look at the zone, my access says Access: Web, when it should be saying
something along the lines of Full Network Access.
Trying to get to other pages only redirects me to the same VPN page over and
over.
Clicking on details yields the following information...
*System information*
At login, you chose not to install the Aventail Access Manager. This
component is required to access one or more resources on your network.
*Correcting the issue*
Close all open browser windows, log back in, and install the Aventail
Access Manager when prompted.
The first time you logged in from this computer, you chose not to
install the Aventail Access Manager. This component is required to access
one or more resources on your network.
*Correcting the issue*
Click *Clear system profile*. Then close all open browser windows, log
back in, and install the Aventail Access Manager when prompted.
*Profile cleared*
A component required to access one or more resources on your network is
not available on your system for one or more of the following reasons:
ActiveX not enabled
Java is not enabled, or there is no Java Virtual Machine available on your
system
You have restricted user privileges
Connection error (indicated by "Error" above)
*Correcting the issue*
For help configuring your system, contact your system administrator or
helpdesk.
You may be asked to click *Clear system profile*, close all open browser
windows, and log back in.
If you have a personal firewall enabled, add "
sslvpn-cst-bs.is-net.depaul.edu" as a permitted destination or trusted site.
ActiveX shouldn't be a problem since Firefox can connect through the VPN on
Windows, I definitely know I have Java installed, and I've tried running
Firefox with sudo to no avail.
I'm on Ubuntu 7.1 (Gutsy).
Thanks.
