<p class=MsoNormal>I am writing to ask you to SAVE THE DATES! As
historians, it is our responsibility…nay, our obligation to SAVE THE
DATES! I am asking that you save the following two dates in
particular. Both dates are on Fridays. Two weeks from today,
October 29, we will have our pre-Halloween fest…okay, you can dress up,
but we are actually meeting in the university library for a presentation about
our St. Vincent DePaul collection of documents and memorabilia. Father Ed
Udovic, a member of our History faculty and the university librarian (as well
as master eBay-er), will discuss the treasures the university has
acquired. More on this event soon. In the meantime, write down (in
ink!) the date. We will meet from 3:00-5:30. And, yes, food and
beverages are included!!!!<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>The second date is four weeks from today, November 12,
3:00-4:30. It’s the rescheduled department “meet-and-greet”
also (now) known as our “great end-of-the-quarter bash.” It
will be held in the History Department hallway on 4<sup>th</sup> floor
SAC. Your professors and our wonderful staff will be there. Pizza,
pop, etc. will be served.<o:p></o:p></p>
