I am writing to all faculty at Newberry Center for Renaissance Studies consortium schools within striking distance of Chicago, to invite you to attend part or all of our 2011 Multidisciplinary Graduate Student Conference, to be held January 27-29.

Seventy-two graduate students from consortium institutions throughout the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. will present their research during the conference's eighteen sessions. If you will be in the Chicago area that week, I hope you'll consider stopping by; I know your questions and feedback would prove invaluable to these emerging scholars.

The complete conference schedule is posted on this web page: www.newberry.org/renaissance/conf-inst/gradstudents.htm <http://www.newberry.org/renaissance/conf-inst/gradstudents.html> l. You'll also find an online registration form there--but if you find you are able to stop by for a session or two at any time during the conference, please feel free to do so, even if you haven't registered in advance. You are also welcome to attend the Newberry Consort performance of Baroque music and the dinner following on Friday evening (these do require advance registration).

I hope to see many of you in January, or else at future Center for Renaissance Studies programs. Please let me know if you have any questions.

My best,
