This is a terrific opportunity for students with a strong interest in history and archives to learn more about what kinds of primary source documents can be found in archives, how they are preserved, and how they are made available to the public. Students selected for these positions will assist the National Archives with processing historical records. Work may include: preliminary inventories of record series; arranging unorganized records; describing records through the creation of box lists, finding aids, and/or indexes; preservation surveys; and basic preservation of older records.
