CHIEF OF PARTY

MWH seeks a Chief of Party for an upcoming USAID-funded health
infrastructure
project in Mozambique. Key technical areas to be covered by the project
include health
infrastructure (Rural Health Centers and Medical Warehouses), and
training and
capacity building in related practices and management. Services provided
by MWH
under this contract will include: assessment, policy analysis and
development, planning,
design, program/ construction oversight and capacity building. Principal
Duties and
Responsibilities: Responsible for overall program of $25 million program
of selection,
design rehabilitation/ construction and maintenance of 50 Rural Health
Centers and 10
warehouses in Mozambique over a 5 year program starting in September of
2011.
Supervises technical staff for execution of the infrastructure
improvement plus the
capacity building including the following activities: Planning, Design,
Surveying,
Environmental Reviews, Tender Management, Supervision and Quality
Assurance,
Quantity Surveying, Maintenance Manuals and Training, Fit-out
Coordination. Staff
will consist of a combination of expat specialists along with Mozambican
engineers and
scientists. The majority of the staff will be Mozambican. REQUIRES:

shall be a Senior Civil Engineer; PE certification or equivalent is
preferred; Minimum of
15 years of experience in planning, designing and implementing municipal
and/or
community infrastructure projects, the majority of which shall be in

and infrastructure operations and maintenance; Experience in procurement
systems and

teams engaged
