Latin and ancient Greek language courses give students discipline and a foundation for all the romance languages. Ancient texts like the bible and ancient philosophy and literature along with ancient theater practices and dramas suddenly become accessible in a much deeper way. Mythology and Classical Tragedy are in-translation courses that provide an introduction to the ancient world, along with modern perspectives on myth theory and the beginnings of theater. The rigor of these languages and their structure provide students with superior writing and editing skills. In-translation courses like Mythology and Classical Tragedy provide a foundation in classical narrative structure. Latin: LAT 101 Ancient Greek: GRK 101 Classical Mythology: MOL 210 Classical Tragedy: MOL 212 If you have any questions about these courses, feel free to contact me.
