I still haven't seen the final schedule, so I don't know which papers
are on Friday and which are on Saturday. The Friday session is certainly
shorter and clearly the bulk of the papers are on Saturday--unless
you're planning on going to the tutorials.
R isn't covered in the finance curriculum yet, but I understand that it
is to be the language that the CDM uses to teach statistics (in any case
I know of at least one of the CDM faculty who is planning to spend part
of her Summer studying R).
We've been talking about using R in Fin 617--I may try it next year in
Taiwan--but nothing has come of it yet and that's an MSF course, not a
MSCF course, I believe.
