Fellow Graduate Students,

The Second Annual LUC History Graduate Student Conference on Saturday,
April
29th is fast approaching, and we hope you all can attend. The purpose of
this
conference is not only to provide young historians with a chance to
present
their current research, but to also build relationships with history
graduate
students. The schedule of panels and presenters is attached to this
email and
will soon be online at http://www.luc.edu/orgs/hgsa/

Admission to the conference sessions is free for graduate students. If
you
would like to purchase a meal ticket for the conference's breakfast and
lunch,
please email Jennifer Searcy, president of the Loyola History Graduate
Student
Association, at jsearcy at luc.edu.

We encourage all area history graduate students, their friends, and
significant
others to attend a post conference reception 6-9 pm at Hamilton's, 6341
North
Broadway; the cover charge for the open bar and food is $10 per person.
This
reception is a great way to meet area history graduate students and to
discuss
our respective academic joys and sorrows. We would appreciate it if
students
who plan on attending the reception could RSVP with Jennifer Bridge at
<jbridge at luc.edu>.

We look forward to seeing you on April 29th!

Sincerely,

the Loyola University Chicago HGSA Conference Planning Committee
