invites
colleagues in history and related academic fields to submit proposals
for
individual papers to present at the second annual Loyola University

opportunity for
students to gain experience presenting papers and receiving feedback
from their
peers on their work. Sessions will include Cultural History, Social
History,
History of Race and Ethnicity, Gender and Sexuality, Public History, and
other
topics, TBA. In addition to the panels, the conference will feature a
roundtable discussion with junior historians about successfully
transitioning
from graduate student life to employment in the field.

Proposals should include the name, contact information, and
institutional
affiliation(s) of the presenter and a one-page abstract of the paper
(with a
title). Include with your submission a brief biographical statement
indicating
your academic status along with a return address and a current e-mail
address.
Please note that submissions will be accepted as time and space permit.

The deadline for submissions is February 15, 2006. Proposals should be
