[Grad_history_students] New Course Announcement!

Hello all,

I¹m writing to let you know about a new course that I will offer next
quarter called HST 339 History from Pictures:  East Asian Visual Culture,
please see the attached flyer. This course is also linked to a HST 390
Practicum course in the spring. In the first part of the course, we will
focus on defining the field of ³visual culture² and the various
methodological approaches to the field. In the second part of the course, we
examine various specific examples of this methodology ³in action² in the
context of East Asian historical scholarship.
