[Grad_history_students] History Club

Dear Intrepid Historians,

 

February is (finally!!) over!  Thank goodness!  As we look forward to
our spring thaw, I have three important reminders/announcements.

 

1)      Announcement!  I am planning a History Club meeting for next
Friday, March 11, from 3:00-5:00 (location to be determined).  This
meeting will be a "back by popular demand" presentation of how to use
your history degree after you graduate (from grad school to the
workplace).  We will provide lots of materials and ideas, as well as
pizza and refreshments.  Please let me know if you can attend.  RSVP by
Wednesday, March 9, at noon.

2)      Reminder!  You have a little time left to submit your
applications for Phi Alpha Theta.  I've attached the info and app for
your information.

3)      Reminder!  You should be thinking about submitting a history
paper to the student history conference.  I've attached the call for
papers FYI.

 

That's all.  There's lots more, but for now, let's keep it short.
