Dear Colleagues, Students, Friends,
Terry Buckalew, blues historian, museum director, and public historian
will be on campus June 2 to deliver two talks. The first, on his
experiences as a practicing public historian in an impoverished,
sometimes racially charged location, will be at 1:00 in the Dorothy Day
Room (Library 400). This first talk will be geared toward students
interested in public history. The second talk, on blues history and
music, will be at 7:00 in Levan 303.
Please see the attached flyer and invite anyone you think might be
interested, especially to the evening talk. This talk is being sponsored
by the History Department and the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
Thanks and hope to see you there,
Ben
