Help Students
Make History

The Chicago Metro History Education Center (CMHEC) invites you to make a difference
in students' lives by volunteering to judge at a History Fair event this spring.
 As a judge, you will evaluate exhibits, documentaries, performances, websites, 
or research papers on topics in Chicago history produced by students in grades 6-8
or 9-12. No previous experience or specialized degrees in history or education are
necessary -- all we ask is that you have an appreciation for student efforts, an
 interest in history, and a commitment to quality education.  On the day of the 
History Fair event, you will receive a full orientation and will be paired with 
a veteran judge.
CMHEC needs 600 volunteers to support our students that come from schools throughout
the Chicago area.
Please review the many judging opportunities available and select the session that
works best for you. Upon receiving your form CMHEC will send you a confirmation 
letter with additional information to help you prepare to judge.
