Subject: Certificate in Qualitative Research Methods
Hello,
After a successful first run, the SSRC is again offering the Certificate in Qualitative Research Methods through Continuing and Professional Education at DePaul. The summer session of the course will run on Saturdays from June 2 - July 7, with no class on June 30. The course is designed to provide hands-on experience with qualitative research, from planning and designing research to collecting data using a variety of methods (analysis will be covered in a separate course).
The certificate would benefit anyone working with or providing service to the public, in fields such as public health, criminal justice, social service, or any number of non-profit organizations, as well as current students (particularly advanced upperclassmen and graduate students) and recent graduates who are looking to build on their coursework and add to their research portfolio, or for quantitative researchers interested in expanding their skill sets. The course is not credit-bearing for regular degree programs at DePaul, but does offer 3 Continuing Education Unit credits.
To find out more about the program, visit the course page on the CPE website (http://is.gd/dpuCQRM) and feel free to contact me if you have any questions. If you know of anyone who might benefit from this course, we'd appreciate you sending them our way.
Thanks,
Jessica
