Ways International Organizations Respond to Post Crisis

This is the second of a two part series looking at small, medium and
large organizations, and the advantages/disadvantages that come along
with their size when called upon to respond to different types of
development situations. The first event focused on the natural disaster
we witnessed in South Asia, and the manmade crisis in Darfur. This
second event will address post crisis chronic aid situations.
Join moderator Michael Diamond, President of World Resources Chicago,
Marjorie Schaffner, Director of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF Midwest, Joan
Clark, Senior Director for Development CARE, Central Region, Judi
Burnison, Midwest Representative for American Refugee Committee, and
others for a discussion about post crisis and continued relief
assistance.
The event is sponsored by the Illinois Society for International
Development (ISID), which promotes awareness of international
development issues in Illinois and encourages networking and discussion.
ISID organizes events monthly, the second Tuesday of every month,
focusing on international development issues. Information about events
and opportunities related to international development is distributed
through the ISID listserve.
