Italy Summer 2010 Field School - Historic Preservation & Restoration

DearColleague,
I would like to inform you about oursummer 2010 field school in Italy, the San Gemini Preservation Studies Program,now in its 11th year, which is dedicated to the preservation of culturalheritage.
This year the program focuses on thestudy of architectural survey and restoration, art restoration andconservation of archaeological ceramics. The field projects involve thesurvey and restoration of medieval churches, archeological excavation in theancient Roman city of Carsulae, and work on local archivalmaterial.
The program is a collaborationbetween scholars from various universities and local preservation groups,fostering a multidisciplinary approach to historic preservation. It is now apart of the International Institute for Restoration and Preservation Studies.All academic activities are held in English.
Application deadline is March 15th.
