 *The following conference might be of interest to visual sociologists who
are examining celebrity cultures. In addition to receiving editorial
support for publishing with Journal of Applied Journalism and Media
Studies, eligible delegates will now have the option to share opinion
pieces. The best op-ed / personal essay will be published in the Medium and
receive further editorial advice for print media. The conference keynotes
and chair will also lead a media workshop ‘Scholars as Critics’ for
delegates and guests to further address questions on media and academic
relations. **Personal stories in written / visual formats are welcome. Read
