Greetings all,
Maureen, I agree we need some discussions, and time, before the contract is
signed. We are in the process of reviewing it and have found several areas
of concern.

contract but the ones below are a start. CPS is asking for the signed
contract back by 8/25 (Monday!) or they say that our candidates will not be

like to handle this. I am certainly willing to have the NEIU attorney give
CPS a call and see if we can buy some time. We could ask for a meeting
with Barbara Byrd-Bennett.

recall that this galvanized us and we met with Arne Duncan. Let me know
what you think as time is very short. I have been negligent in reading it
carefully but plan to do so this afternoon. This deadline snuck up on me
so it may have happened to you.
