[Ccade] CPS contract

Hi Leslie,
I am writing to let you know that the NEIU attorney, speaking for CCADE (I
am co-chair this year) has attempted to speak with the CPS attorney listed
on the student teaching contract about multiple issues that concern the 22
CCADE members.  After getting an "out of office" e-mail last week, Kristin
contacted our attorney, Melissa Reardon-Henry, to say that she would get
back to her today about our request for extended time to review the
contract as well as for a meeting with the person in charge of the
contract.  As of this hour, we have not heard back.

I am writing to say that in the name of NEIU I cannot sign the contract
today as it is written.  As we have always had a collaborative working
relationship, I hope that the fact that our attorney is in contact with
yours will be an indication that we expect to sign a contract with CPS when
the issues of concern to us get ironed out.  Twelve days to review a
contract with such significant changes is not enough time for the parties
to reach an understanding of the various new aspects that are included in
the contract.
