Comrades,
I am writing to let you know about an exciting opportunity to do some
public history work with the Evanston Women's History Project and the
Frances Willard Historical Association. The Evanston Women's History
Project is a three-year, grant-funded project to research, document, and
promote local women's history, in addition to creating a thematic,
multi-property Women's Historic District that encompasses many areas of
the city.
Attached, please find a job announcement for a Research and Museum
Assistant for the Project, whose duties will be split between
researching for the project (15 hours per week) and some administrative
duties for the Frances Willard House Museum. The position will be a
half-time (20 hours per week), offering $15/hour, with a June 2007 start
date. It is a three-year project, and ideally, they'd like to keep the
same person in the position throughout. They are looking for graduate
students (or extraordinary undergraduates) in related fields. If you are
interested, get your application to Prof. Amy Tyson (atyson2 at depaul.edu)
by May 14th.
Best,
Dr. S
