Salvete amici,
I am sending this message to inform everyone that ancient Greek and Latin language courses, along with Mythology and Classical Tragedy courses remain available for registration.
Latin and ancient Greek language courses give students discipline and a foundation for all the romance languages. Ancient texts like the bible, ancient philosophy, ancient politics, ancient drama, ancient mythology suddenly become accessible in a much deeper way. The rigor of these languages and their structure provide students with superior writing and editing skills. THe first year of these ancient languages fulfills language requirements. Also, please know that all levels of these ancient languages are available at Depaul, including graduate-level courses.
Mythology and Classical Tragedy are in-translation courses that provide an introduction to the ancient world, along with modern perspectives on myth theory and on the beginnings of theater respectively. In-translation courses like Mythology and Classical Tragedy provide a foundation in classical narrative structure and an awareness of the difference between the ancient age and the present day.
Latin: LAT 101
Ancient Greek: GRK 101
