[Grad_history_students] results of graduate fellowship competition for 2011-12

MA in History students,

The Graduate Program Committee met last week to make its decisions in
the graduate fellowship competition. The pool of applicants this year
was especially strong. After thorough evaluation and deliberation, we
decided to award the Departmental Graduate Assistantship to Kathleen
Tallmadge and to name Lauren McCaugherty as the Egan-Martinez Scholar.

The Committee would like to offer its sincere congratulations to
Kathleen and Lauren, and to commend all of those who applied for the
awards. The competition this year was fierce. The Committee sincerely
wishes that we had the resources available to provide support to more of
you.
